1. BISHOP’S VISIT TO THE PARISH: A total of 167 candidates were confirmed during the visit by the Auxiliary Bishop and hosting of the Bishop was well attended and organised. The Parish took care of the entertainment for the day.
2. UPDATE ON THE DEBT: The Parish is yet to pay off the debt owed for the land. Therefore, the Council agreed to pay off the debt incurred by the loan taken to start the Roofing work. The Council also agreed that we contact the office of Nworah to explain the reason for the delay rather than keeping quite. A 3-man committee was setup to visit him. Members of the committee are; Bro Francis Nwabueze, Bro Anselm Okolo and Bro Umezeoke Victor.
3. CHURCH BUILDING PROJECT: 2nd phase of the church project has been completed. Discussion was ongoing on the next stage of the project.
4. PARISH CHRISTMAS CAROL: Parish Christmas Carol to be held on 11th of December, 2022.
5. SEND FORTH: CMO, CWO and CYON Presidents were asked to organise program for the send forth of our former Associate Priest. The committee is to be chaired by the CMO President, Bro Godwin Ukel. The event is to be held on or before Easter 2023.
6. Both Exit and Entrance Doors were designated by the council and would be communicated to Parishioners
7. It was also reported that Parishioners were still hostile to the security personnel i.e using abusive words. Parishioners are urged to desist from such act. The Council approve the arrest of any Parishioner who will intimidate, assault or abuse any security personnel. The Council called for training and retraining of security personnel in the church.
8. The 2023 Parish Budget proposal would be made available for presentation to the Archdiocesan Finance Council.
9. Project Sunday activities will resume by February 2023 to give Parishioners some allowance to redeem pledges.
10. The Finance Committee is seeking acquisition of a Parish laptop for the committee work.
11. 2022 National Catechetical week was successfully held in our parish for one week from Monday 10th -16th October 2022. The theme: Lord do you not care that we are perishing? (MK 4:38). The event recorded poor turnout.
12. Parish Adoration has resumed in the Parish. It holds every last Friday of the month and Parishioners are encouraged to attend with all their family members. Hence,
Parishioners are encouraged to always attend programs/ activities organized by the Parish.
13. Forms have been made available for new comers into the Parish and would be put into use after the Harvest Programme.
14. A uniform weekly reporting format for all BCC Centres was adopted by the Council.
15. Laity Council: Council directed all Societies and Organisations to send in representatives for the constitution of the Laity Council. South South Catholic Community will soon hold her general Election.
16. Parish Priest Office. Parishioners were encouraged to visit the Parish Priest office for all official matters on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 1.30pm. Our Seminarian will soon go for Deaconate Ordination on 13th of January 2023.
17. The Council agreed that the sum of 100,000 naira be given as support for the construction of security house in Efab.
